How sync should feel

Nobody should ever think about sync. Edits appear on the other device before you pick it up.

Rules

1. Local writes never wait for the network.
2. Conflicts merge by paragraph, not by file.
3. When we can’t merge, keep both and say so plainly.

Open questions

• How long do we keep deleted notes? Thirty days feels right.
• Do images sync at full resolution on cellular?
